The excise and forest departments carried out a joint operation against illicit liquor near the Siddha Nala area of Satanwada in Shivpuri district on October 31, 2026.

The action was executed under the instructions of Collector Arpit Verma and led by Shivpuri circle in-charge Rahul Gupta.

Recovery and destruction of wash

The joint team recovered 22 litres of country-made liquor and approximately 1,400 kilograms of wash from the spot.

The seized wash was destroyed on-site in accordance with excise regulations.

Cases registered under Excise Act

Authorities registered two criminal cases under Section 34(1) of the Excise Act 1915 in connection with the matter.
