A 23-year-old youth named Durgesh Yadav died in a road accident within the limits of Badarwas police station in Shivpuri district.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning at around 8:30 am between Ghurwar and Badarwas when Durgesh was riding his motorcycle to deliver food to his father at the mandi.

A vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit his motorcycle, resulting in his death.

Family blocks NH-46 demanding driver's arrest

In protest against the incident, family members placed the body on National Highway-46 near Silver Park on Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm and staged a roadblock and protest.

The identity of the unidentified vehicle that caused the collision and its driver was not immediately clear.

Badarwas police station in-charge Naveen Yadav reached the spot and assured the family members that the vehicle driver would be identified and their name added to the FIR within two days, following which the protest ended.
