The body of former Bangladesh Air Force officer KM Tausif Sauri was recovered from the Turag River in Dhaka on October 28, 2026. The exact cause of his death remains unclear at present.

The family has expressed suspicion that KM Tausif Sauri was murdered. The situation will become clear only after the arrival of police and post-mortem reports.

Sauri was dismissed from Air Force service in September 2024. He had recorded a video of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaving for India and also participated in a podcast in July 2026.

past controversy and allegations

Bangladeshi newspaper Amar Desh had accused Sauri of having ties to the Indian intelligence agency RAW. However, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate had dismissed these allegations.
