A shooting incident stemming from a land dispute was reported on Saturday in Ghazival village near Amritsar. The attack resulted in the death of one Dera Beas sewadar, while a second sewadar sustained serious injuries.

Dispute over six kanals of land

According to police, the incident occurred over approximately six kanals of disputed land. It is alleged that three to four individuals, including the family of Jodhbir Singh alias Jodha, arrived at the location and opened fire.

Victims identified by police

The deceased has been identified as Dera Beas sewadar Manjit Singh. Meanwhile, the injured sewadar, Davinder Singh, has been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Baba Bakala Sahib for treatment.
