The Department of Personnel issued an order on October 31, 2026, placing 1995-batch IPS officer Prashakha Mathur on APO (Awaiting Posting Orders).

Prashakha Mathur had been posted as ADG, Planning Modernisation Welfare since October 24, 2025. Previously, she served as SP in Jodhpur Rural, Banswara, and Pali, and worked as Additional Deputy Director and Deputy Director in the IB from 2009 to 2014.

ACB inquiry into villa purchases

On the other hand, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a primary inquiry (PE) and initiated an investigation into the purchase of 40 villas from a single company. ACB DG Govind Gupta met Chief Secretary V Srinivas on October 30.

Ten villas each were purchased in the name of IAS Shikhar Agarwal and his wife at the Bujhada resort located in Udaipur.

Earlier, the Rajasthan government removed IAS Shikhar Agarwal from all posts and placed him on APO on the night of October 29. It is being speculated that the ACB may question Prashakha Mathur in this case. Additionally, it has been claimed that the purchase of villas made in Alwar was not mentioned in the IPR.
