The Supreme Court has directed Mokama MLA Anant Singh to surrender by December 1 in the Dularchand murder case. The court has also instructed the Bihar government to complete the investigation into this matter within four months.

Background on criminal cases and previous bail

Anant Singh had earlier received bail from the Patna High Court in this case. A total of 67 criminal cases are registered against him.

Party expulsion by JD(U)

Prior to this, JD(U) on October 24 expelled Anant Singh and his wife Neelam Devi from the party for six years.
