Union Health Minister JP Nadda led a padyatra and public meeting in Durg on October 30, 2026, in support of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Chief Minister Sai also participated in this event.

Traffic restrictions during the march

During the padyatra, the convoy covered a distance of approximately 1 kilometre along a designated route to reach Mahesh Chowk. Due to the programme, entry of heavy and medium goods vehicles was restricted in Durg city on October 30.

Congress opposition and protest plans

Meanwhile, amidst this political development, the Congress has announced plans to hold a protest in Delhi on November 1 and demand the resignation of the CEC.
