A Mohali court has rejected the bail petition of Rohit Kumar, an accused in the abduction and murder case of Mitali. The Additional District and Sessions Judge pronounced this ruling.

Mitali, a 23-year-old resident of Badal Colony in Zirakpur, worked at the IT Park in Chandigarh. She was abducted from Zirakpur on March 7, 2025.

Abduction and discovery of body

According to the investigation, Mitali's body wrapped in a plastic sheet was recovered on the night of March 10, 2025, from a drain near Rajpura. Sultan Mohammad, Raj, Amandeep and Rohit have been named as accused in this case.

Police investigation and arrests

Accused Rohit Kumar, a resident of Banur, was arrested by the Zirakpur police. In the case, Sultan Mohammad is accused of harassing Mitali.
