New anti-pollution restrictions have been implemented in Delhi-NCR starting November 1 to control winter pollution. According to the Union Ministry of Environment, the average AQI recorded in October was 166. The Winter Pollution Action Plan remains in effect every year from November 1 to February 28.

Vehicle bans and work from home rules

Under the new rules, the entry of vehicles with standards lower than BS-VI registered outside Delhi has been banned. In addition, work from home has been implemented for 50 percent of employees in government and private offices.

As part of these pollution control measures, public parking fees have also been doubled.
