A US court has permanently dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by former US President Donald Trump against the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch. Miami Judge Darrin Gayles delivered the ruling.

A report published by the newspaper had claimed that a letter bearing Trump's name was found in a birthday album for Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003.

Judge rules Trump failed to prove malice

During the hearings, the judge stated that Donald Trump failed to prove that the newspaper had intentionally published the report with actual malice.

Jeffrey Epstein was convicted in the year 2008 and died in 2019. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in this case in 2021 and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence.
