Senior interior designer Dipanshi Joshi of Bengaluru-based Iris Studios has shared special suggestions for home decoration and interior designing on a low budget ahead of Diwali. According to her, the main entrance, living room and worship space can be prioritized to give the house a beautiful look.

Use of old items for decoration

Instead of buying expensive items for decoration, old items available at home can be used. Old dupattas, diyas, glass bottles and fairy lights can be very useful for decoration. Additionally, it is not necessary to buy expensive colors and stencils to make rangoli.

Safety precautions during festive decor

Keeping safety in mind, the designer advised that an open-flame diya should never be placed inside a glass jar. No official data is available regarding the exact cost associated with these decoration methods.
