A 35-year-old tractor driver was found dead on National Highway-46 near Gilgwan Chakk between Shivpuri and Guna during the intervening night of November 5 and 6, 2026. The deceased was identified as Hirendra Dhakad.

On Friday morning, Hirendra Dhakad's mutilated body was found, while his tractor was parked safely on the roadside. His family members dismissed the possibility of a road accident and expressed suspicion of murder.

Suspecting murder, the family placed the body on the highway at 10 am on Friday and staged a road blockade. The protest caused an eight-kilometre-long traffic jam on both sides of the highway.

The blockade was lifted at 2 pm after police and administrative officials assured a fair investigation into the matter. Police are investigating whether the incident was a road accident or murder.
