A tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning at the railway crossing in Aturned village under the Lukwasa police outpost area in Shivpuri district.

A 70-year-old woman crossing the railway track was hit by a freight train, resulting in her death on the spot.

Victim's background

The deceased was identified as Manko Bai Sen, wife of Babulal Sen, a resident of Lukwasa town.

According to her family background, the deceased was not in good mental health and had left home late Saturday night without informing anyone.

Police action

Upon receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, took the body into custody, sent it for post-mortem, and initiated further legal action.
