Two cases of selling and keeping crackers without a license have come to light in Rampur and Jubbal of Shimla district. Police have registered cases in these matters and started further investigation.

Details of the cases

The first case came to light on 29 October 2026, in which action was taken against 30-year-old Hitesh Kumar, a resident of Dakolar. Meanwhile, in the second case, a case was registered against shop owner Rajeev Kumar on 30 October 2026.

Police recovered 412 boxes of crackers from the second floor. These include sound rockets, Shan-e-Punjab, Speed Express, Avatar rockets, rocket bombs, Star Force and dynamite bombs.

Seizure and legal action

Action in both these cases has been taken under Section 125 and Section 288 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita along with the Explosives Act.
