A case has emerged in the Madhubani district regarding the circulation of an objectionable picture and video of the Chief Minister of Bihar on a social media platform. An FIR has been registered in this connection at the cyber police station.

Cyber police station registers case

Cyber DSP Naveen Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the case has been registered under Madhubani Cyber Police Station Case Number 41/26. This action was taken based on a confirmation following an incident on October 28, 2026, leading to registration on October 31, 2026.

According to police, this content was circulated through an Instagram profile named 'Ripu Yaduvanshi'. Sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, specifically sections 356 and 351(2), along with sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the IT Act, have been invoked in this matter.

Investigation into Instagram profile underway

The investigation to identify the actual operator who circulated the content is currently ongoing. Police are also examining other technical aspects related to this profile.
