A 49-year-old woman who had recently returned from Australia was stabbed to death in the Vikas Nagar area of Ludhiana.

The deceased has been identified as Kamaldeep Kaur, who had returned to India from Australia four days prior to the incident.

Hospital admission and medical findings

According to Dugri police station SHO Gurmukh Singh, the severely injured woman was taken to Deep Hospital after the attack, where doctors declared her dead.

The investigation revealed that the victim's veins on her abdomen and back were severed.

Husband arrested by police

Police have arrested the victim's husband, Ravinder Singh, in connection with the case.

The deceased woman's son informed the police that the accused husband suspected his wife. Police are continuing to investigate other possible motives behind the murder.
