Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and Hollywood actor Richard Gere met on Sunday in Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh. The meeting was held at the official residence of the Dalai Lama.

Meeting at official residence

During the meeting, the Dalai Lama presented a traditional Kinnauri cap to actor Richard Gere. Richard Gere has been a follower of the Dalai Lama and a prominent supporter of the Tibetan cause since the 1980s.

Richard Gere also serves as the chairman of the International Campaign for Tibet, known as ICT. The meeting between the two included discussions on Tibetan culture and issues.
