Police in Pichhore, Shivpuri district, have taken action against illegal fireworks, recovering banned or illegal items valued at Rs 11,370 from the spot.

According to police, 25-year-old Sumit, son of Rakesh Karn, has been named as the accused in the case.

During the search, authorities seized 264 large local crackers, 400 Kashiram crackers, four pieces of Mor Chhap dobaji, seven pieces of Mor Chhap anar, and one string of firecrackers.

The action was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, Additional Superintendent of Police R.D. Prajapati, SDOP Pramod Shakya, and SHO Inspector Neetu Singh.

Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 9(b) of the Explosives Act.
