The DLF Crime Branch in Faridabad has arrested the accused in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old woman at a local guest house. The deceased has been identified as Chandni, a 40-year-old resident of Munger in Bihar and a mother of three children.

Police investigation revealed that the woman and the accused, Shekhar Kumar, had known each other for the past two years. On Saturday at around 10 am, the woman arrived at the guest house located on Mathura Road in Ballabhgarh along with the accused.

Identity concealment and alleged strangulation

The accused used the ID of another individual named Shekhar to conceal his true identity while checking into the hotel. Following an argument over a matter inside the room, the accused allegedly strangled the woman to death using a saree.

The husband of the deceased, Subodh Kumar, works in Bengaluru. Police are currently working on the official verification process regarding the exact time of the murder and the time of the arrest of the accused.
