The Bihar legislative assembly secretariat has issued a notice to Anant Singh. This follows the Janata Dal-United expelling Anant Singh and his wife Neelam Devi from the party for six years on October 24. The secretariat has given him seven days to respond.

Government and party actions

The building construction department of the Bihar government has directed him to vacate his official residence located on Mall Road in Patna by November 25, 2026.

Supreme Court surrender directive

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has ordered Anant Singh to surrender by December 1 in connection with the Dularchand murder case, and the court has directed that the investigation be completed within four months.

A total of 67 criminal cases are registered against Anant Singh.
