Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu claimed in a political statement that 16 MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party will not win the upcoming elections. According to the Chief Minister, the BJP is divided into five factions in the state.

The Chief Minister also stated that the BJP will secure fewer seats in the upcoming assembly elections compared to the previous time. He also mentioned the discontinuation of the revenue deficit grant amount received from the centre.
