Imran Khan, who has been living in India for the past 42 years, has tendered an unconditional apology in the Bombay High Court for participating in 'SIR' protests. He assured the court that he will not take part in any such protests in the future.
Background on OCI card and notice
Imran Khan holds US citizenship and has held an OCI card since 2006. The FRRO had issued a show-cause notice on October 17 to cancel his OCI card, prompting him to approach the court.
Court proceedings and next hearing
The Bombay High Court has stayed the 'leave India notice' in this case until December 7. The next hearing for the matter has now been scheduled for December 7.
