Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major setback in Punjab politics as Amritsar North MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh has sent his resignation from the Punjab Legislative Assembly membership to the Speaker.

The Aam Aadmi Party had suspended Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh from the party for five years in June 2025. Amid this development, other MLAs are also among those who have left the party.

Chetan Singh Jouramajra, MLA from Samana in Patiala, and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, MLA from Sanour, have also left the party.
