The one-day senior jharkhand state-level traditional wrestling championship is being organised in bokaro. Around 120 male and female wrestlers from across the state are showcasing their sporting talent in this competition.

rules and age criteria

Babloo kumar, treasurer of the jharkhand state wrestling association, stated that all matches are being conducted according to prescribed Olympic rules. A minimum age of 18 years has been set for players participating in the competition.

Dharmveer singh, president of the bokaro district wrestling association, said that bokaro has claimed the overall champion title three times in this competition.

national selection

Wrestlers securing the first position in this championship will represent jharkhand at the national traditional wrestling competition to be held in agra, uttar pradesh, on november 18 and 19. Finally, all winning players will be honoured with medals and certificates.
