An accident occurred near Jamukhari within the Chandwara police station limits in Koderma district of Jharkhand. A tanker hit a 55-year-old cyclist named Parmeshwar Thakur, leaving him seriously injured.

Parmeshwar Thakur was on his way to work at the floating solar plant under construction at Tilaiya Dam. Following the incident, the tanker driver fled from the spot, but police apprehended him in Barhi.

The injured person was referred to RIMS in Ranchi from Sadar Hospital.

Protest by locals

After the accident, local residents blocked NH-20 to protest against the poor condition of the road and alleged negligence by NHAI.
