Seven police officers from Rajasthan have been selected for the Union Home Minister's Excellence Medal in the investigation category. The announcement of the Union Home Minister's Excellence Medal is made every year on October 31. IPS Anushtha Kalia's name is also included in this list.

drone weapon smuggling case solved

IPS Anushtha Kalia had solved a major case involving weapon smuggling via drones in the Khajuwala police station area. Five China-made pistols and 325 cartridges were recovered from a packet found in a field at Chak 24 KND in Khajuwala.

The investigation revealed that the mastermind of this smuggling operation, Sukhvinder Singh alias Sonu, was lodged in Faridkot Jail and was operating his network via mobile phone from there. IPS Anushtha Kalia had come to Rajasthan by changing her cadre in September 2025.
