A new controversy has emerged after the shooting of actor Ranveer Singh's film Pralay took place at Mumbai's Azad Maidan. The Mumbai Cricket Association has raised strong objections over under-14 and under-16 age group cricket matches being affected due to the shoot.
Permissions and deposits for the shoot
The sports department of the Maharashtra government had granted permission for five thousand square yards of space for six hours for the film's shoot. In exchange, the production company deposited a fee of forty thousand rupees and a security deposit of forty thousand rupees.
Makers and departmental differences
The film is produced by Hansal Mehta and directed by Jai Mehta. However, a difference in mutual consent regarding the NOC has surfaced between the Mumbai Cricket Association and the sports department.
