Security and emergency arrangements have been reinforced in Ranchi on the occasion of Diwali. The district administration has deployed 1,200 additional personnel to secure the city.
Additionally, 40 police bike squads will continuously patrol the city to increase surveillance.
Power and emergency preparedness
Power demand is estimated to increase by 30 to 50 megawatts during the festival. In view of this, the electricity department has claimed uninterrupted power supply without any cuts.
To deal with any emergency situation, fire engines and personnel have been kept fully prepared at all four fire stations in Ranchi.
