Power theft has been caught during the construction work of a police control room inside the Manendragarh City Kotwali premises. An illegal connection was taken by hooking onto an electricity pole for the construction work, and a cutting machine was being operated.

Electricity department raids spot

Upon receiving information about the matter, a team from the electricity department conducted a raid at the spot and prepared a panchnama report.

Gulab Baghel, assistant engineer of the Manendragarh zone, has confirmed the illegal use of electricity and the imposition of a penalty. However, the exact duration for which this power theft had been ongoing has not yet been confirmed.

Penalty to be decided on Monday

According to the electricity department, the total penalty amount in this case will be determined on Monday.
