A Run for Unity marathon organized by BJP Yamunapar at Arail Ghat in Naini, Prayagraj witnessed a commotion and incidents of vandalism on October 31, 2026. Between five and six thousand people participated in the event.

Dispute over early start of the race

The dispute arose after the race was started ahead of schedule and without being officially flagged off, leading to escalating tensions at the venue.

Vandalism and looting at venue

Amidst the dispute, angry individuals broke chairs at the venue and also looted certificates that were kept there.
