Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Domanlal Korsewada from the Ahiwara assembly constituency in Chhattisgarh has passed away. He was 78 years old and had been suffering from a lung ailment.

Medical treatment and political career

He was undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad. Domanlal Korsewada was elected as an MLA from the Ahiwara seat in the years 2008 and 2023.

In the 2023 assembly elections, he defeated Congress candidate Nirmal Kosre by a margin of 25,263 votes. Additionally, he was appointed as the vice-chairman of the Scheduled Caste Development Authority in October 2025.
