The Jharkhand High Court delivered a major setback to the state government by setting aside the notification dated August 18, 2026, which had cancelled the JSSC CGL recruitment process. Justice Deepak Roshan pronounced the verdict, stating that the court did not have any final investigation report or concrete evidence available to prove widespread institutional irregularities.

Appointments to remain intact without service break

Following this court ruling, the 1932 officers already appointed under advertisement number 10/2023 will remain in their positions. The High Court clarified that there will be no break in service for all these appointed officers, and they will also receive all financial and consequential benefits.

Appointments subject to CID-SIT investigation outcome

However, the court also clarified that all these appointments will remain subject to the final outcome of the CID-SIT investigation and pending criminal cases. Along with this, separate legal action can be taken against specific candidates found guilty in the investigation.
