A fatal road accident occurred on the Chittorgarh-Kota National Highway-27 on Friday at around 4:30 pm. Near Menal, a car collided with a water tanker and overturned into a 15-feet-deep pit at an under-construction overbridge.

The accident resulted in the death of three labourers on the spot, while ten other people sustained injuries.

Casualties and identification

Begun DSP Ankit Kudi confirmed the accident and the deaths of the three individuals. The deceased were identified as Bihari, 45, Savta, 50, and Prem Bai, 40.

Injured persons and police action

The injured include Arjun, 23, Sunita, 16, Chandni, 17, Kalu Singh, Bhupendra, 39, Reena, 38, Sakshi, 12, Kanishka, 9, Anoosh, 7, and Vishnu Prajapat. Police have registered a case against the tanker and car drivers.
