Hyderabad police have arrested a woman accused of targeting and burglarizing locked houses in the city. A joint team of Uppal police and the Central Crime Station apprehended the female suspect near a bus stop on October 31, 2026.

Arrest and recovery of valuables

The arrested woman has been identified as 25-year-old Paga Jaya, wife of Gogulothu Sivakumar. Police reported recovering gold and silver jewelry, cash, and an iPhone 17, amounting to a total estimated value of 70 lakh rupees.

Legal action and ongoing investigation

Authorities have registered a case against her under sections 331(4) and 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Initial investigations by the police suspect her involvement in five additional cases, which will be confirmed following the completion of further inquiries.
