Amritsar Police have arrested Sandeep Singh, also known as Kali, who had escaped from custody. According to police officials, the action was carried out in Amritsar.

Sandeep Singh is originally a resident of Shamsherpura, Batala, and is the son of Amarjit Singh. He was initially arrested on 31 October 2024 under Section 304 of the BNS and the Arms Act at the Civil Lines police station.

Background of the initial arrest

Following his arrest, he escaped from police custody at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar. A new case regarding his escape from the hospital was registered on 4 November 2024 under Section 262 of the BNS at the Majitha Road police station.
