A severe road accident occurred late on Tuesday night in the Harnaut police station area of Nalanda district, resulting in the deaths of three youths and leaving two others seriously injured.

Harnaut Station House Officer Mukesh Kumar Verma stated that all five boys were riding on a single motorcycle. The motorcycle lost its balance when a dog suddenly appeared on the road and the rider attempted to save it, causing the vehicle to crash into a divider.

The youths who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as 19-year-old Gautam Kumar, 15-year-old Abhimanyu, and 13-year-old Aneesh Kumar. Abhimanyu and Aneesh were real brothers and the sons of Pradeep Jaiswal.

Victims and hospitalisation

None of the youths were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The injured individuals include 14-year-old Amit Kumar and Ravi Kumar, who have been admitted to the Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Police have taken possession of all the bodies, sent them for post-mortem examinations, and are carrying out further legal proceedings in the case.
