The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET)-2026 was successfully concluded across the state on 31 October 2026. A total of 986 examination centres were established across all 24 districts of the state for the examination.

Registration and overall attendance

A total of 5,65,916 candidates had registered for the examination. Out of these, 4,85,243 candidates appeared for the test, while 80,673 candidates remained absent, resulting in an overall statewide attendance of 85.75 percent.

Shift-wise examination details

The examination was conducted in two shifts. The first shift for Level-II, covering classes 6 to 8, saw 3,13,098 candidates participating with an attendance rate of 84.69 percent.

The second shift was held for Level-I, covering classes 1 to 5. A total of 1,72,145 candidates participated in this shift, recording an overall attendance of 87.73 percent.
