Amid rising air pollution in Haryana, Panchgaon in Gurugram has been recorded as the most polluted city in the country with an Air Quality Index of 391. In view of the worsening situation, government and private offices in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat have been directed to implement 50 percent work from home.

Action against violators and NGT notices

Taking action against the violation of pollution control norms, the National Green Tribunal has issued notices to 28 companies in Rohtak. Additionally, a fine of 13.50 lakh rupees has been imposed in Gurugram for failing to comply with dust control orders.

Weather forecast for Haryana

According to Dr. Madan Khichad of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, the weather is likely to remain dry until November 10. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall on November 14.
