US President Donald Trump has offered UFC chief Dana White the position of the new White House press secretary. This development comes after Katie Zakaria left the role after holding the position for five days.

London visit and upcoming meeting

Dana White recently attended a boxing event in London. He stated that he would travel directly from London to Washington and meet the US president on Monday.

Recent political changes

Several political changes have preceded this development. On Friday, Trump announced the appointment of Stephen Miller as the next chief of staff, removing Susie Wiles from the post.

On the other hand, the Republican Party suffered a major setback in the midterm elections held on Tuesday. The party has lost control of both chambers of the US Congress.

It remains unclear at present whether Dana White will accept this new offer from the US president.
