Booking and permission procedures for setting up temporary stalls ahead of the Diwali festival have commenced in Chandigarh. According to the Municipal Corporation, the booking process for these stalls has been initiated through its mobile app.
The permission for these stalls will be granted for a period of seven days. The allotment of stalls will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. For booking purposes, applicants are required to upload a government-issued identity card such as a voter ID, driving license, or passport.

However, setting up stalls will not be permitted at Sector-17 Plaza, Sector-22A, and along major V-1, V-2, and V-3 roads.
