A case has been registered in Raipur against Anwar Dhebar and five other individuals for allegedly demanding Rs 4 crore in extortion and committing assault. Police have registered the case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated an investigation.

Details of the complaint

The complaint was lodged by 62-year-old Baliram Dharmani, a resident of Kalibadi. According to the complainant, the incident took place on September 26, 2026, and September 27, 2026, and was linked to a land deal from 2018.

Accused individuals named

Apart from Anwar Dhebar, the accused named in the case include Sandeep Agrawal, Asif Memon, Nagendra Kumar, Vivek Joshi alias Monty Joshi, and Kuber Rathi. Police are conducting further legal proceedings while considering all aspects of the case.
