The Anand Ramayan was composed in the 15th century. Its various episodes contain descriptions of several mythological stories. However, the historical veracity of these events described in the Anand Ramayan is not confirmed.

Abduction and rituals

According to the first episode, Ravana abducted Kaushalya five days before the marriage of King Dashrath and Kaushalya. Meanwhile, according to the second episode, Lord Ram and Sita were giving donations to sages on the day of Chaitra Shukla Ramnavami.

Ashram stay and exile mention

According to the fourth episode, King Janak and his wife Sumedha spent five years at the Valmiki ashram. It is also mentioned in this episode that Lord Ram spoke about leaving Sita in the forest when she entered her eighth month of pregnancy.
