The bodies of four members of a family were found with their throats slit and injury marks on their heads on beds in the Malikhedi area under the Chhola Mandir police station limits in Bhopal on November 2, 2026.

Background of the family

The deceased head of the family, Narendra, had been unemployed for the past 10 to 15 days and was under debt. Narendra worked as a chef at a resort near Ashta, and his former small restaurant had shut down.

CCTV footage and police investigation

Based on CCTV footage, police found that Narendra left home on his Bullet motorcycle at 8:50 am. Sometime later, Narendra's body was found on a railway track.

Police stated that confirmation on whether a hard and blunt object like a hammer was used in the crime is pending the post-mortem report. Police are investigating various aspects of the case.
